Lisbon and Madeira

King Ferdinand's Castle in a town called Sintra. Lovely little tourist village filled with small shops and wine cellars. Fabulous views from here... all the way to the ocean!
St. George's Castle, this is the formal dinner and we listened to traditional Fado music while we dined inside of the castle.
Yes, that's husband in an actual tie.

Our view from our Hotel in Madeira!

We could jump into the ocean from the diving board on the hotel!

Husband loved the ocean and the windsurfing... I particularly loved this tiny restaurant in Lisbon that was recommended by the concierge...

I nearly died from happiness.

While the plane ride home was reasonably miserable we would highly recommend going to Portugal. The people were so friendly and the culture so interesting.

I really appreciate being so lucky to be able to travel across the world and tell my kids of our travels... they were really interested in what we ate for breakfast every day. And I know that they had a great time with Maestra, Linds and Steve, and Aunt Sue.

Wow! Such a delicious menu. I'm so starving. You do look absolutely beautiful. I'm so glad you got to go. I want to go somewhere relaxing. By the ocean. With good food. Nice work and great pictures.

I actually ordered Foie Gras after eating most of the one served to the group. SO GOOD!
