Mi Bella Donna

So, I spent several hours making gnocchi yesterday. I had fun rolling the dough into long "snakes" and making the little dumplings. I was not so pleased with the results. I think I should have cooked them longer - or maybe I cooked them for too long. I am not so good at cooking things for "90 seconds after they float to the top". I'm better put it in the oven and set the timer. I followed the gnocchi with a Cappelini Chicken Brodo which ended up tasting like bland ramen noodles. Oh well, live and learn.

On Friday, however, I made a wonderful Filet of Beef with roasted potatoes and roasted tomatoes. I served it with a gorgonzola cream sauce. Not bad. Well, bad for you, but not bad.

I have now enough room for a party of 10 - if I invite more people then it just gets crowded.

Great, now I'm hungry.

I have never had luck with gnocci. Sounds like yours tasted at least like food. I made coq au vin last night. Raw coq au vin. Mmm.
What's this about seating ten? You had ten people over last night? Did they drink gorgonzola from the bowl???
