I want Hillary to win. I know, I know. Obama is a great candidate and part of my brain, probably 80%, knows that he will make a great president and has run a wonderful campaign.
It's the part of my personality that is irritated when women have power and are bold, are always considered bitchy. When women fight for what they want or need or deserve, it's always perceived as heartless.
I honestly cried when Pelosi was sworn in as Speaker of the House, she has more power than any other American woman has had and she invited her children and grand children to the ceremony. It's sentiment and etiquette that is missing in political life and women, bitchy or not, are the people who do this naturally.
My daughter will definitely be able to blaze different paths by what Hillary has done. And my son will look at women differently, I hope. The fact that Hillary Clinton has decided to forage on until there is a democratic nominee is a sign of perseverance and strength that most women have learned early in life. And, one that a woman in politics most definitely has.
Now, Aichers, will contend that I am committing fully into a "man-hating lesbian", but there are still men I love. Barack Obama might become one of them.
